Why don't you use the bootstrap CDN for software website builder?

Instead than modifying the bootstrap one, why you don write the same and identical modifications in one file you can call mobirise software website builderd-bootstrap.css

Otherwise we can't link the CDN bootstrap

If it is true that google loves responsiveness it is also official that it hates the slowness and the weight and the NOT minifed code

So a CDN with the truly minified bootstrap css framework is a MUST.

Please fix this ASAP

Thank you

‎Nevertheless

Loading the standard original bootstrap.min.css ‎from the bootstrap CDN, will make it frequent to have the customer with the same bootstrap.min.css in his/her browser ' cache which will make it even faster his/her navigation experience

Transpose this to mobile devices and this would have a 400% higher meaning and sense

We don't use bootstrap.min.css ‎from the bootstrap CDN because some users can work without the conneсtion to the Internet, or their access to CDN servers is limited (China).

Yes, we could add a fallback for opening a local file if CDN is not available, but loading this page can take a long time. After the request the page is waiting for a reply (and user sees nothing on his page), and if his/her connection speed is low it may take several minutes. So it can end up with an error.

It all depends on your goals

First of all looks like that you turn around the point.

The point it is not bootstrap.min.css as local or from CDN

The point is that you modify it while bootstrap.min.css is a STANDARD. If you check for the meaning of the word STANDARD you'll understand why it is a no sense that you modify it

But here you the replies to your attempts to move the point to somewhere else :-)

If you aim Mobirise to spread at business level, remember that here we are in Europe and others are in the USA and in Japan

Continents where business matter and the population have unlimited access to Internet ‎and where business matter. Business often relies on Google positioning and Google wants ultra-fast responsive websites.

As it is now, You satisfy only the secon‎d requirements that if on a minimum part can be acknowledged on the important side, again you are in defect:

If it is true that the majority of people (in continents with a lot of Internet connected devices Europe/USA/Japan) have Internet access (you don't even have a Mobirise in chinese) it is true as well that hostings (most of) set limits in bandwidth and also are poor in performances or they share the bandwidth

So uploading a 150Kb uselessnosense file from/as Local is a double penalty.

Last but not least, here we argument the fact that you modify a file that is a recognized standard, while, since and because you have some mobirise css in the exported website, modifications to the standard bootstrap.min.css must be inserted in such mobirise' CSSes or you'd better add a new one

bootstrap.mobirise.css to be loaded right after the bootstrap.min.css (this time really minified)

That would reset the situation to a normal situation, where the webmaster will be free to decide where to load from the bootstrap.min.css (there are also nice scripts that will 1th attempt to load from CDN and if not reachable will turn to local)

Hopefully I've been able to give you the idea.

Why is it such a big issue for you to add the modifications you do to the bootstrap.min.css as new lines in a new CSS file to be calle‎d right after the bootstrap.min.css leaving it untouched and so giving the freedom of set it to be loaded from CDN?
