Encoding issue in easy website builder free

We are testing Mobirise easy website builder free and have managed to create a website in Russian. Unfortunately when we have uploaded it to the server - all Russian text has changed to symbols. We have checked with different browsers – can not read anything. Looks like we need to change it to UTF-8 somehow.

We’re trying to build a new site in Russian using Mobirise 2.8.3 version and PC with Windows 8.1

Everything looks good until we upload to the server and it looks like this:

We are testing Mobirise easy website builder free and have managed to create a website in Russian.

As you can see – can not read anything. Changing fonts doesn’t help, as we have tried every font available with easy website builder free.

You have a great software, but those things should be fixed.

Looking forward to your reply and assistance.

Try to change your browser encoding to UTF-8.

Doesn't work - it shows symbols on every computer including Ipad.

I've just been talking to one of the users of your Mobirise who has build few websites in Russian. He has told me that after uploading files to the server they could not see the text correctly as well. They had to write a special script for the server in order to make it work.

May be you guys have to check your software and make an update to fix it.

Your server makes wrong encoding: charset=windows-1251.

Please check it. The encoding should be UTF-8.

I am one of your amazing web builder user, so far i love all the basic features and it is very easy to use. However, it still lacks in term of customization. May i know how to reset the app or how to clear file history?

If you use Windows, you may go to %localappdata%/Mobirise.com/Mobirise and remove recent.json and recent.list files.

If you use Mac, you can follow this instruction:

1) Go to folder ~/Library/Preferences.

2) Find the file "com.mobirise.Mobirise.plist".

3) Move this file to trash.

4) Empty Trash. If you can't remove this file from Trash, please restart your computer and

then empty Trash.

5) Launch the app.

hello gives an error "MoveFile Failed; code 32" when installing a program error has been presented in the attached file image. I would appreciate if you can help in this regard.

Operating system: Windows 7

Please try to turn off your antivirus program temporarily. Also please check your hard disk for errors.

thanks, problem is solved

I'd like to know if you're improving the menu so that if you add a new link in the menu in a page, that link appear in all other pages.

It is already supported, the menu block is the same in your site project for all pages.

And moreover I'd like to have the possibilitiy to insert sub pages in the menu.

In order to know if to start a project with Mobirise, I'de like to know if you're working on these features or not.

This feature will be added soon, I hope, but we don't know the exact date.

can I create a site on one mac and then work further on it on another mac, ie transfer files

Go to 'Sites' - 'Site Settings' - 'Export Site'.

Then you will be able to Import this Mobirise project on another pc. ('Sites' - 'Import Site')
