I love your Mobirise startup website generator product and it is getting better and better. I already made 3 sites in Mobirise and as a designer i love to work with it to make quick and simple sites.
However, now i'm sad. My export is nog working. I use 2.8.5 and it's starts but then it quickly end. It says: Your site has succesfully exported BUT i onle get 3 things:
-project.mobirise
-assest folder
-screenshot
No html. In the assets folder just the images, no bootstrap folders.
It works this way when you export it, the export feature is for project files only. If you want to get .html files, you should publish your site.

Mobirise produces responsive sites, they should look good on mobile devices too. Check our site: https://mobirise.com/
Does Mobirise allow for the web DNS to be pointed elsewhere, or is it more just upload the files to a hosting server via FTP?
The Mobirise app provides website building only, we do not have any kind of hosting. There are to way to publish created site. First is ti save it to the folder and then copy its files to your server. The second one is to publish the site to ftp right from the app.
What a wonderful product you have made!
One question arises: is it possible to create forms that get and store data in a database?
If yes: is the procedure documented so I can take a look at it?
Sorry, it is not possible in our app, Mobirise can publish a front-end part only, we use our server to process forms.
You can use another service for your forms.
How can I import an existing site into Mobirise.
Mobirise works with its native projects (.mobirise). You can import/export these files only. You can't edit .html files in it.
Sure, that makes sense. But this is a site creates with Mobirise.
Anyway, Mobirise can work with project files only (.mobirise). You can't import .html files. In the latest version of Mobirise (2.9) a project file is published in the same folder with your site.
Is it possible to password protect a page or section (collection of a few pages for an "admin area") so I would have to log on with a user name and password, linked to a database so I can add / remove users as and when necessary?
Unfortunately, it isn't supported. Mobirise can generate a front-end part only.
How do I open the account ?
Your account info is for the Mobirise app.
is there any function to add shop buy now button with link to stripe payment system
Mobirise doesn't support eCommerce features, but you can use another service. You can edit .html pages after publication manually.
I would like to potentially use Mofirise instead of anther web design programme. However, I’m not sure about certain things. For example, we have an online booking system. Currently I add html code and our booking page is automatically displayed. Is this something that your system can do? If so, can I trial it before I pay for the extensions (in case it doesn’t work).
Also, is it possible to have an online shopping facility using your system?
Unfortunately, these commerce features aren't available in the Mobirise app. But you can use other services with it. The Code Editor extension allows to change the code of blocks on pages in your projects.
Thank you for your response. Do you have an option for be to try the block editing extension before I purchase it? I’m not sure if and how well it will work with our booking system, so don’t want to pay and then find out that it doesn’t work…
You can send us the code you want to use and we'll check it.
Mobirise is free for both personal and commercial use. You can download and use Mobirise for your own or client's websites without restrictions.
