Add a PayPal button to a html site builder site

Still very happy with your Mobirise html site builder product. Having ‘played’ around with it and I created my final version of my website but unfortunately with one or two important omissions.

My big issue is being able to add things like a PayPal button. This is quite important for me and even more important for people wishing to make a shop and sell things (ecommerce I think it is called).

I also needed to add an external calendar which I have managed to do but it is very messy in practice. The way I did it was to ‘Export’ my website to a directory, use Microsoft Notepad to add the code to the place I wanted then to use an FTP program to upload to my website. I have to do this every time I make a change in Mobirise (however small like a typo correction) and it is a pain. The thought of having to do this for my PayPal buttons horrifies me, there needs to be a better way.

To give you an idea of what I am trying to do you can look at my new website and click one BOOK button. After a few seconds (it takes longer to load than my old website!) my calendar will appear.

The button I want to add from PayPal is a ‘form’ comprising of 14 lines of code. I use this to collect a deposit from my guests when they make a reservation.

I need a quick and simple way to do this and I suspect there are a lot of people who may never have asked you but would like to be able to do the same.

Another problem I have is that I accept Visa and MasterCard and would like to be able to add a small photo. There does not seem to be a way to do this, all I can do is add a big photo, like a normal sized photo and because the resolution is so small because it is a small photo it looks terrible so I could do with some help on that as well.

You can purchase the Code Editor extension to be able to edit code of your blocks. Mobirise can generate a front-end part only.

This is a major issue with PurityM.

Just started to build a webpage with this theme. Added and edited the menu and header without a problem. Next I added the full width content block and can’t edit the text in it. The other two ‘column’ content blocks appear OK. Created a second new test website and just added the full width content block with nothing else and got the same result.

Another issue you might consider is being able to change the Opacity on the headers like you can on the original theme.

We'll fix this issue soon. You can uncheck an overlay option in the block properties.

Yes I have just tried that. It seems that adding a image, any image, does not allow the text to be edited.

I have discovered a 'work around' in that you can remove the image, edit the text then put the image back.

Just to tell you I have done the upgrade to Mobirise 2.9, gone into "Extensions and Themes" and "refreshed" the PurityM theme and still have the same problem.

By the way Windows 10 does not like html site builder, it does not want to install it because it thinks it is dangerous so you have to force the install.

This issue is related to an overlay feature. It should be under the text, but somehow it affects the text too.

Does this mean it will be fixed? Meanwhile I have paid for something I cannot use.

You can uncheck the overlay option for your blocks. Our developers will try to fix this issue soon.
