Sorry for the inconvenience. I have sent your feedback to our developers. They will try to fix it later.

Okay, first I would like to say great job, I really like Mobirise! I am a small webhost and for years we have used another builder and it worked great for years but it has become very buggy and their support has become nearly non-existent. We were beginning the process of abandoning this builder and converting our customers to WordPress when I found Mobirise. I really liked the idea but without the now added HTML block, it was just not usable for many of the sites on my server. I am now recommending Mobirise to many of my customers. I used that builder over the others because it was simple to use for my customers but I could help them include more advanced features if they needed them. As you add more advanced options please be careful not to loose the simplicity. Here is a suggestion based on my experience so far;

First problem I’ve had, I am having to completely recreate the first site I made because I lost the exported project after I published the first draft. I work in my office during the day and many times at home after hours and on weekends too. So I built the site and saved the export on a flash drive so I could take the latest version from home to office. Well Nearly finished and I lost the flash drive! Also, as a host, I help my customers with their site often, As Mobirise works now for me to make a change to their site for them they would have to export the site, email it to me, I make the change, export it, email it back to them, they must then delete their project and import the one I sent them. As a suggestion; If the process of publishing could automatically include an updated export, uploaded with the files to a separate folder on the server. When the site is opened for edit a quick “version check” between the local and server copies. If the server version is newer, after a confirmation dialog from the user, download and overwrite of the local file with the newer server copy. This would eliminate lost projects as it would serve as a backup, with copies local and on the server as well as when a customer asks for assistance I can easily update to their newest version, and if I make a change for them, they get version updates as well.

....more to come

We always improve our application so please stay tuned!

I have been using mobirise and have built a few sites now. This morning I finished working on a site and published before going to the office. Everything was fine. a few hours later, the customer called with a few minor changes (email addresses for the contact forms) when I completed them I published and started getting a “unknown error”. The FTP connects and begins to upload and after a few files the error happens. If I click continue it keeps going and happens again seemingly randomly. after about 15 to 20 times the publish says completed successfully. now most of the site is not working. If I publish again it does the same thing but different parts of the site will be not working. I have been on tech support with the company I lease the server from most of the day and the FTP logs do not show any errors in the connection. They gave me a temporary FTP on a different server and I get the same error.

Does Mobirise generate an error log?

Unfortunately, Mobirise doesn't generate error logs, but I have sent this request to our dev team.

You can publish your site to folder and use another app to upload it to your server.
