A few questions about nice things...

Who do you most admire?

Tina Fey. 30 Rock is the funniest show ever, it never fails to make me laugh out loud. She is a forty something, bookish nerd who is obsessed with food and I think we’d have a lot in common.

What are your favourite possessions?

An original oil painting of Runswick Bay by the artist Sue Atkinson. It hangs over our mantelpiece and is a beautiful reminder of a place that is very special to our family.

Tell us about your perfect day or weekend...

An early start, a long drive and then arrive at a small campsite beside the sea. Red wine and food cooked on the campfire, good conversation, then gaze at the stars until it’s time for bed. Waking up under canvas, bare feet in the morning dew, camp kettle on the stove, the first sip of good coffee and then heading off to the beach for the day.

What makes you happiest?

Being out in the sunshine taking photographs of nature. Quietly observing the wonder all around us.

What would you like to do in the future?

Explore more of the UK, learn to kayak, go wild swimming. I’d love to be writing and taking photographs professionally.
