Keen baker, novice knitter, fervent rambler and roving reporter, by day you’ll find Emma tap-tap-tapping away on her computer at work writing about inspirational British artisans for a country-themed monthly. But, as soon as the clock strikes five (well five thirty to be precise), she’s off, away on her next adventure, be it camping solo beneath the stars, learning how to fashion a vintage brooch, or discovering a café/ market/ independent to note down in her much-thumbed notebook and upload to her blog. With family spread around the UK, Emma splits her time accordingly so expect her escapades to do the same.
A few questions about nice things...
Who do you most admire?
Hmmm, tough one. Can I say my mum? She’s overcome tough beginnings to become a strong, successful, independent woman – and she’s my best friend. If I can achieve as much as she has in my life time I’ll be proud.
What are your favourite possessions?
My childhood soft toy Bunny, my collection of candles (you really can never have too many) and my secret chocolate brownie recipe that always goes down a storm.

What makes you happiest?
The smell of rain on a hot, summer’s day, kicking up leaves in crisp autumn sunshine, opening up the beehive at the start of spring, a winter walk along a crashing sea front and seeing one of this country’s amazing horizons that takes your breath away and makes your heart swell with pride that you’re lucky enough to be British. Oh and finding a perfectly ripe banana!
