Nourishing the soul over tea at Orange Pekoe tea room and shop in Barnes

Nestled between a handful of beautiful boutiques at the end of White Hart Lane in Barnes Bridge, and overlooking the river Thames, you’ll find Orange Pekoe shop and tea room – a real gem, and one of our very favourite places.

It was our refuge during the early years of notonthehighstreet.com. When everything was too much in the office, or we needed some space to think, Orange Pekoe was our place to unwind. The staff are super friendly, the decoration is divinely beautiful and everything about it, including the amazing selection of speciality teas, is so very quintessentially British.

Mention the words ‘lemon moon biscuit’ in our office, and you’ll be met with sounds of wishful desire. The Chai Lattes are also second-to-none; there’s nothing like a steaming mug of sweet, spiced milk to nourish the soul on a hectic day.
