I thoroughly recommend this one if you’re in need of a guaranteed slot of ‘me’ time come the weekend. Kicking off at 10.30am each Saturday morning, the Kids Club at The Screen cinema in Winchester hosts fun and games followed by a fabulous film. Tickets are just £4 and children aged eight and over can be left at the cinema, allowing you plenty of time for a leisurely coffee or a whiz around the shops.

Then again, you could always indulge your inner child and stay and play. Mum or Dad go free with every ticket purchased. And in case you need any more persuading, the giant organic chocolate buttons and coffee are both excellent.
