Garden wanderings and vintage rummagings at Hampton Court Palace and East Molesey Village

My favourite place for a stroll with the buggy is up the river to Hampton Court. You can access the Gardens without charge in the winter months and as the seasons change so do the trees, to the colour of the bricks of the Palace. You can’t help but be charmed by the beautiful fountain and Long Water through to Home Park, imagining what it must have been like for Henry VIII and his wives!

Carrying on I reach the relatively unknown gem that is East Molesey village high street. There is a great selection of coffee shops, always popular with cyclists on route to Box Hill. For mums though, I recommend Dish. The cupcakes and coffee are fab and provide a well needed sugar boost! Then, if baby drifts off fora snooze, there are some lovely gift and antique shops to rummage around for that vintage handbag or vase you never knew you needed!
