My latest discovery and new favourite place for afternoon tea is the wonderful Tea Room at Danson House in Bexleyheath. Set underneath the beautifully renovated Palladian house, you can enjoy the most delicious homemade cake and a refreshing Earl Grey (served in a proper tea cup with your own strainer) while looking out at the stunning grounds. The cakes range from lavender shortbread to chocolate and beetroot cupcakes. And, best of all, your dog can join you for tea too!
