Easy like Sunday morning at Boston Tea Party in Cheltenham

We have a new favourite cafe – Boston Tea Party in Cheltenham. It’s huge, with 100 seats and a super family-friendly menu; a real triumph, highlighting the quality local ingredients from Hobbs House Bakery, Yeo Valley and Bristol Beer. The eggs and meat are free-range too.

We love to visit for breakfast (which is served all day) and choose the children’s scrambley egg with soldiers, pancakes with maple syrup and bacon, chorizo hash and my most favourite eggy bread! It really does set us all up for the day and the children’s babyccinos are free.

The cafe is part of a family-owned chain that stretches from Birmingham down to Exeter, all designed differently inside. There are tables on the pavement outside, great for when the weather allows. Inside, different zones are created by the quirky layout and decor; a lounge area cladded in reclaimed wood, huge industrial lights, banquettes, booths and a concrete bar in front of huge sliding windows, perfect for people watching.

It has a really lovely relaxed and friendly vibe, whether you’re taking the children for a teatime treat, looking for somewhere to work with your laptop or meeting friends for lunch. The other great thing is that it’s right next door to The Wilson, the newly refurbished museum and art gallery on Clarence Street, which is well worth a visit too.
