Sugar-coated splendour at Biscuiteers biscuit boutique in Notting Hill

I’m a total Biscuiteers devotee, and manage to find almost any excuse to send one of their gorgeous hand-iced creations to my nearest and dearest…

So when I discovered they’d finally opened their first ‘biscuit boutique’ in Notting Hill I was there in a heartbeat, thrilled to find their trademark black and white stripes adorning a gorgeous old fashioned shopfront with huge windows stacked high with baked treats.

Inside, it’s like the biscuit equivalent of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. Rows of smartly dressed jolly gingerbread men line up proudly next to pots of brightly coloured lollies surrounded by boxes upon boxes of colourful biscuits. Each set is carefully themed and I soon found myself deliberating the bootylicious shoe tin (for me..) and the brightly coloured tube stations and red buses that make up the mini London collection (a gift).

In the end I left with an Olympian jolly ginger which I’ll be giving to my ‘one’ for Valentines Day. And a full list of the icing masterclass dates – just in case he wants (me) to become a biscuiteer too.
