Transcript Request Instructions
Use
This form is for use by current and former students of Savannah State University who are or were enrolled in courses at the University for which they received grades or credit for their academic performance and may not be used for any other purpose.
Form Completion
To request transcripts, please be sure to complete the Transcript Request form in its entirety by choosing the appropriate options where needed and leaving no blank spaces elsewhere. It is important to provide all the information requested – including your contact information so that your request may be processed in a timely manner. Failure to do so will lead to processing delays.
Payment & Submission
Transcript requests must be accompanied by payment in the amount of $4 for each transcript requested. Please attach a Money Order or Cashier's Check when requesting Transcripts by mail. Personal Checks are not accepted . If submitting your request in person, you may make payment at the Cashier's Office which is adjacent to the Registrar's Office on the 1 st Floor of the Colston Administration Building .
If you would like to fax your Transcript Request, the University will accept American Express, Visa, and MasterCard as valid forms of payment. Card Holders are required to fax the Transcript Request with a copy of the front and back of the credit card. Please include a note on this page indicating the “amount authorized for this purchase $ ____” (please be sure to use this language and include the correct U.S. dollar amount in the blank space), and the card holder's signature beneath this statement to the Cashier's Office at 912.351.3566.
Preparation
Transcripts are prepared in the order they are received and are usually available for pick up or mailed in three (3) days or less for those who attended the university after 1998. Transcripts for students who attended before 1998 may take longer. Transcripts requested at the end of the semester or during other peak processing periods may take slightly longer as well.
